Data in the shadows.
Brought into the light.

SKIA Labs finds what your data already knows. We work across the records you hold — databases, transaction ledgers, logs and documents — to surface the patterns, anomalies and connections sitting out of sight, for institutions where the answer has to hold up.

The problem

The answer is usually already in the data.

Most organisations already hold what they need to know. It sits in databases, ledgers and logs that are well kept but rarely questioned together — rows nobody has time to compare, trends that only show across sources, exceptions buried in volume.

We build systems that turn that held data into insight a specialist can act on — without removing the judgement.

What we do

Insight from the data you already hold.

We start with structured data — databases, transaction records, registers and logs — and bring documents in alongside it. What comes out is insight a specialist can act on, with the evidence behind it attached.

Pattern and trend discovery

Structured records are analysed as a whole, not one report at a time, so trends and recurring patterns show up across years, branches and systems.

Anomaly detection

Transactions and entries that break from the expected are flagged early — outliers, duplicates and sudden shifts that volume would otherwise hide.

Entity link analysis

Identifiers are matched across every source held, surfacing relationships between accounts, people and events that manual cross-referencing would never reach.

Documents brought into the record

Scanned files, statements and exports are read into the same structured record, so nothing sits outside the analysis.

How it works

From raw records to insight, in four steps.

  1. 01

    Ingest

Databases, transaction records, logs and documents are brought together as they are — no re-keying, no change to the systems that hold them.

  2. 02

    Align

Everything is shaped into one consistent record, with every value traceable to the table or page it came from.

  3. 03

    Analyse

Patterns, anomalies and relationships are surfaced across the whole record, not one report at a time.

  4. 04

    Review

A specialist sees the findings with their evidence and decides. Nothing is committed without confirmation.

SKIA

σκιά — Greek for shadow. We named the company after the problem we exist to solve: the data that sits out of sight until someone brings it into the light.

Why SKIA Labs

Defensible, or it isn't usable.

Anything touching sensitive data has to withstand scrutiny later. These are defaults, not later phases.

Assists, never decides

Findings are proposed with their source. A person confirms before anything is committed.

Explainable by default

Every link and recommendation carries the source that produced it, so it can be checked and defended.

Complete audit trail

Who accessed what, when, and what the system proposed — retained, immutable and exportable.

Encrypted end to end

Protected in transit and at rest, with key management separated from application access.

Deploys where the data lives

On-premise or sovereign environments, isolated at the infrastructure layer, for data that cannot leave.

Provenance preserved

Source data is never overwritten — every finding stays linked to the row or document it came from.
